John will be 1 year old in 7 weeks. The outfit he has on today is 18 months and just fits him. What a fatty!!

2007 Chevy Cobalt
Well we did it!! We got a new car!! A 2007 Maroon (not red) Chevy Cobolt. It is very nice and rides great!! This was a huge project that I am glad is OVER. I spent almost a week stressing, crying, yelling and driving a rental. A special thank you goes out to those who helped us with this huge decision. We could not have done it without them.
Whoever thinks shopping for a car is fun is crazy!! STRESSFUL!!! I actually lost my voice through all of this!! I am glad it is over, I think I already mentioned that, but well worth mentioning again.

Eric on Crete-Monee's Field
Sunday Eric's team played the Crete Bulldogs on Crete-Monee's field. Eric has spent half his life on this field and at this school. He finally got to play a real game on it. We had to sit on the visitor side and in all the time spent at Crete I had never made it to that side of the field. Eric played an awesome game. His team lost, but he did his job. It was very exciting to watch him and I am glad he got the opportunity to play on the field he grew up on.Feet PJ's

Good-Bye Escort
My transmission broke yesterday in my car for the 4th time in 4 years. I told them to keep it!!
So I went this morning cleaned everything out and walked away from that thing. I hated everything about that car. So this weekend hopefully, I will get a fresh start with a new car. Something small with great gas mileage! Wish me luck.

Congratulations Amber
I just got word our friend Amber accepted a teaching position at Eric's school. This was all part of a my evil plan to get someone to spy on him.

Eric
Eric decided he wanted to be like his Dad and shave his head with a Bic Razor. So he took it upon himself while showering to shave one side of his head, get out, get dressed and sit down in front of the TV like no one would notice. So Matt had to shave his head with the clippers and then go over it with the razor and shaving cream. This is the finished project.......Sox Game

I am ready for Fall
I am SOOO ready for Fall!! I am ready for sweatshirts and jeans and no more sweating!! And I am ready for the bugs to gone!! I cant even take John outside because misquitos the size of elephants land on his head!! One good freeze and they will all be gone.
John was 10 months old yesterday!! Only 2 more months and he will be one!! I cant believe it!! Where did time go?
Matt's team won their game Friday, it was replayed on Comcast sports last night, but we forgot..... OOPS.
We have a busy week ahead of us as usual. Homewood-Flossmoor is preparing to take on Sandburg, Eric will be playing Crete on Sunday and John and I will be cheering them on!! In the middle of all of that I am trying to work out a lunch at Fudruckers. We have ALL been craving a good cheeseburger. :) I think eating my be our favorite family activity.
Fall is my favorite time of year, I love the leaves changing and all the Fall like colors. I am looking forward to the Pumpkin Farm and dressing the kids up for Halloween. I want Eric to be a table or TV this year, but I dont know if he is going to go along with that.... We haven't decided on John yet.
I hope everyone is enjoying the Blog!!

Happy Birthday Carrie and Joel
My little football player
Here is my baby!! Nine years old playing tackle football! I love him in his uniform. All the running around, stress and late nights are worth it to see him like this. This is my Eric. He ran out when they announced and gave me a huge hug and kiss in front of every one!! Then I got another kiss as we left the field.
Getting dressed isnt easy
John

John is changing so much!! He is ALL over the place and into everything!! His Nana bought him a play yard to keep him contained!! He does good in it, but I think Eric spends more time in it then John does!! We also can take it apart and block of areas of the room!! It will just be a matter of time before he figures out how to knock it down!! John is also running from us. He knows when we are coming to get him because he motors in the other direction!!
Big Storm

Big stroms rolled through the Manhattan area........ Our kitchen flooded and the siding was blown off of our house. We couldn't find Eric for almost an hour, but his school ended up taking the kids off the bus and brought them back in the school. They had to sit in the hallways, in the dark because the power was out, in the tornado drill positions. John's day care was also out of power and they had to go into the bathrooms until the sirens stopped. Manhattan made the news. WGN had us topped out at 80 mile per hour winds. We were very lucky and this all could've been a lot worse. Even though our house took a beating, God kept us all safe.
