Kisses

John is giving kisses!!! They may be full of slobber with his mouth open, but we love it!

John

John is changing so much!! He is ALL over the place and into everything!! His Nana bought him a play yard to keep him contained!! He does good in it, but I think Eric spends more time in it then John does!! We also can take it apart and block of areas of the room!! It will just be a matter of time before he figures out how to knock it down!! John is also running from us. He knows when we are coming to get him because he motors in the other direction!!

Big Storm

Big stroms rolled through the Manhattan area........ Our kitchen flooded and the siding was blown off of our house. We couldn't find Eric for almost an hour, but his school ended up taking the kids off the bus and brought them back in the school. They had to sit in the hallways, in the dark because the power was out, in the tornado drill positions. John's day care was also out of power and they had to go into the bathrooms until the sirens stopped. Manhattan made the news. WGN had us topped out at 80 mile per hour winds. We were very lucky and this all could've been a lot worse. Even though our house took a beating, God kept us all safe.

Update

We have been busy as usual. Eric and Matt are both in full swing with football. Matt's first game is Friday, August 24 against Marion Catholic and Eric's first game is August 25 against Steger. It is going to be an exciting season. Matt starts school on Monday and Eric starts on Tuesday. I cant believe how fast the summer went by. We never even made it to the zoo!!!

John turned nine months August 9th. He weighs 23 lbs 4 ounces and is 30 inches long. He is wearing 12-18 month clothes already. He has been crawling for weeks and is now standing for a couple of seconds without holding on. He plays with the remote, the phone, the powder, the holder for the wipes, our shoes and the kitchen chairs. Everything he shouldn't be playing with!! He chases Eric and then Eric chases him. He climbed the stairs with Matt's supervision of course. Needless to say, we have the gates up. He is starting to try different foods and holds his juice cup all by himself.

Matt and I decided to invest in a DVR. Can I just say how totally awesome it is!!!??!??!
LOVE IT!! Even though I tape re-runs of Beverly Hills 90210........

Last week Eric did a mile run down at Bears training camp in Bourbonnais. It was hot, but he did great. There were probably 75 kids, ages 6-14 and Eric came in around 15th. He got a T-shirt and a medal. He is already saying he wants to do it again next year.

This past Sunday Eric and I went to the Sox game with Joel. We had a great time!! The seats were good (a little hot), the food was good, the drinks were good, but they lost. But, as always, well worth it.

Miller Park

We drove to Milwaukee to see the Brewers play the Phillies. What a great day! We had seats right behind home plate. This was Eric's birthday present from me and Matt.

2007 Football Season

Eric's 2007 Football Season has started. He is a Pee Wee this year. His first game is August 25th.
